1/2 HiWi position: Robotics Software Engineer
We are looking for a HiWi to work as a robotics engineer for helping us build our new software infrastructure for the Franka Emika Panda robots.
Scheduled tasks
- Maintain a ROS ecosystem for all Pandas.
- Develop low-level software for the Panda controllers (position, velocity, torque).
- Integrate MoveIt as a motion planner in our system.
- Create a simulation environment in IsaacSim and/or Unity.
- Test the controllers on the real robot.
Requirements These are ideal points, but most importantly you should have a will to learn new skills.
- Knowledge in robotics and control
- Good knowledge of C++ and Python
- Good knowledge of ROS
- Experience with simulators (e.g., Gazebo, Bullet, Issac, etc.) Master students in Computer Science, Autonomous Systems, Control and Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related topic are preferred.

2/2 HiWi positions: Tutors for the Reinforcement Learning Lecture
We are looking for tutors to work with our teaching team for SoSe2023 on the course of Reinforcement Learning.
Scheduled tasks
- Test coding assignments before we announce them, in coordination with the teaching assistants..
- Answer questions in Moodle, in coordination with the teaching assistants.
- Assist in the correction of the assignments. Pass grades in Moodle.
- Help maintaining lecture notes, and restructuring the course slides assisting the Lecturers.
Requirements
- Knowledge in Reinforcement learning — ideally you have followed our course or relevant one before.
- Good knowledge of Python
- Good knowledge of PyTorch
